First is a show I hobbled together for Evolution Entertainment, called the Green Report and it's about green technology and climate change.
Episode 1 is about Google's efforts. Enjoy the show.
Next is a show from my buddy Carlos Rodriguez. He is the creator and producer. 100Miles is about life in the central valley of California. Hosted by Travis Ross. It basically a road trip with muscled Travis and some hot girls.

Indie Club Night
Went to the IndieClub workshop and film night on Saturday.
There were three short presentations:
City Permits and Regulations, by the Seattle Film Office
Musical Composition and Film Scoring, by Hummie Mann
Casting and Working With Agencies, by Tanya Tiffany
The permits and insurance information was very timely for my upcoming project "The Lake"
Hummie Mann is one the NorthWests film composing masters with way to many film credits to mention. His presentation was very helpful and I want to have one of his classes score some music for the TV show.
Tanya Tiffany and her crew of actors did a bit of a set up to demonstate the difference professional SAG actors and non-union. I talked to her a bit about my project and requirements. Will try to meet up with her this week.
Also did a little networking with Raffaele Riconosciuto the director of the evenings film.
Make Believe
http://www.makebelievethemovie.com/
There were a lot of things in this film I liked. Some I didn't.
Kaelon Christopher Horst put in a great performance. This guy is going places with his career.
Composing was done by some of Hummie's students(Barb Blevins, Dean Jensen, Brian Olendorf). I liked the scores, but there was way too much of it in the film. Could have been that the volume was too loud in the editing, but I found the music too distracting, hence my perception that there was too much of it.
Overall, as a film, it was a little too artsy for my taste, but there was some great cinemtography and the theme of a young man's struggle to come out his make believe world back to reality was effective.
Raffaele Riconosciuto and Scott Tuton did good job as a short feature and the film should be considered their debut work into the film festivals. Expect more good things from these guys.

Creative Unions are messing up new entertainment models
Saw this article and just had to say something.
Unions seek video iPod residuals
The Writers and Actors Guilds now want a piece of the video iPod pie.
ABC recently did a deal with Apple as part of the video iPod product launch. One of the elements of the launch is the ability to download for a fee($1.99 US) episodes of ABC's "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives"
Paying for a TV show that have either been paid for with advertising revenue or cable TV subscription fees is a simply greedy, stupid and shortsighted business model, but then for the unions to want a piece of the $1.99, get a life.
If the creative unions wanted to really upset the business model, they should insist that the programming be provided for free over the internet. TV programming is already being actively traded over the internet today and even if the studios and production companies don't want to admit it, this so called personal one on one "Piracy" isn't dissipating audiences. The audiences are growing, see this story on Battlestar Galactica and how BitTorrent drove audiences for the launch of BSG on the SciFi Channel.
Final word, instead of the unions whining about getting their share of $1.99, they should go back and negotiate a better deal on the DVD revenue.

The Golden Leaf
Worked as cast and crew on a feature film called "The Golden Leaf"

Here is a short description:
It's early fall. Yellows dominate reds, oranges and greens. Fallen leaves cover the ground. A light wind causes leaves to fall. They circle in the air and gently land. We walk through the woods with a rhythmic tempo. The leaves RUSTLE under our feet. The rays of sun penetrate through the foliage and shine on the ground. A low singing VOICE trails through the air. We stop. The VOICE continues to sing gradually climbing higher. We walk fast towards the VOICE. It becomes louder. We quicken the pace. The forest thickens. Intense colors mix together. Trees and bushes stand close. We move through the thicket and suddenly come up to a yellow tree. We move in very close to its leaves.
This film was written and directed by Ksenia Oustiougova, a new and very talented film maker.
Here is me in costume as a green guy.
This was shot in the Seattle Underground. Here are some more pictures I took on location.
