Fall planting and Greenhouse

I got this nifty greenhouse as a house warming present. It took a few days to assemble and I needed a friend to help with the final assembly steps.

I am in full fall planting mode. Verbena seeds are germinating. Sunflowers and a few others seeds are going in the frames.

Tulip bulbs were on the planting schedule today.

Real Estate Transaction Complete

The purchase of our new home we started in May, finally completed yesterday. After a title issue that required a superior court guardianship hearing and some 11th hour feet dragging by Wells Fargo Bank on a wire transfer, we own 4.6 Acres on Camano Island, WA

The cats have brought the death toll this season to the following:

20 Moles
7 Mice

Blackie cat brought in another mouse still alive. Scared the hell out of Laura.

A few seconds later the mouse was running for the door, but Blackie dealt the death blow.

Updated the body count to 3 mice.

The current death tally from the cats is now 3 mice and 12 moles. Thankfully, the cats are not into birds.

The worst part is cleaning up the ones that get eaten. Mole entrails are a mess.

Settling in to the new place

Camano Island is very pretty and quiet.

The cats have adapted so well that they have caught 2 mice and 3 moles so far.

Will get some pics up soon.
